I am thrilled that you have found your way to my website. Although this site is still a work in progress, I hope to answer any questions you may have about who I am and what it is that I do.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Vienna, Virginia. I earned my Master's Degree in Social Work from The University of Chicago. Thereafter, I completed a two-year post-graduate fellowship at The Yale Child Study Center. Upon completing my fellowship, I returned to my native Northern Virginia area where I have been in private practice providing therapy to children, adolescents and families for the past 8 years.
While I work with children of all ages, young adults, and their families, my specialty lies in treating adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, social difficulties, self-injurious behaviors, and body-image issues. I am empathic, respectful, culturally sensitive, and practical in my approach which facilitates the development of trusting, supportive, and collaborative working relationships with clients. I have found this to play a crucial role in treatment success.
