This website is very much under constrcution and will be updated with a new design very soon.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in McLean, Virginia. I earned my Master's Degree in Social Work from The University of Chicago. Thereafter, I completed a two-year post-graduate fellowship at The Yale Child Study Center. Upon completing my fellowship, I returned to my native Northern Virginia area where I have been in private practice providing therapy to children, adolescents and families.
While I work with children of all ages, young adults, and their families, my specialty lies in treating adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, social difficulties, self-injurious behaviors, and body-image issues. I am empathic, respectful, culturally sensitive, and practical in my approach which facilitates the development of trusting, supportive, and collaborative working relationships with clients. I have found this to play a crucial role in treatment success.
Sincerely,
Despina Boudouvas-Mannos MSW, LCSW
